Is this module medical software?
No, and it should not be presented as such. It covers practice organisation — agenda, consents, reminders — not medical records or diagnosis. Check your own obligations before recording health data in it.
Do reminders reduce missed appointments?
That is their purpose: the automatic reminder goes out unattended. A slot lost for want of a reminder can never be recovered.
How are consents collected?
Through a form, with their date, kept alongside the file. The GDPR module then allows export if the person asks what you hold about them.
